On social security reform! Just the transition costs of the private accounts alone are stipulated by Bush as cost $754 billion. Sharpshanks at Amendment IX shows what that really means.

Wal-Mart is taking aim at the Steelyards in Cleveland, OH. Cleveland City Councilman Joe Cimperman needs your help as the Plain Dealer in Cleveland has already caved to the Wal-Mart PR machine.

I've been out of the loop for awhile, so pardon me if this has already been covered.
It seems the DNC chair race is getting testy. Which is good because it causes people to really fight it out, but its also bad because the discussion suffers from intra-party squabble. My feeling now though, let the squabble occur so people can get on with life. In some ways, this will finish what Dean started, as it came to a premature end in the primaires.

Just read this at Amendment Nine, I highly recommend it. We Dems often miss these things, but Mitya K points out how we can take advantage of the GM credit problems.

Amendment Nine contributor Mitya K has an interesting slant on the possibility of Dems taking advantage over IRS privatization as well as credit agency abuse. My question is, how do we Dems feel about this? Do we agree that Credit Agencies are to "Crony Capitalists" what the IRS is to "Big Guvmint Libruls"? Can we make that analogy sing? Or is still too remote for most Americans. Right now, I think its a pretty good case. Given the right salesmanship, it could really become a good wedge issue for us. What do you think?

Hey MyDD readers. FedFarmer is a contributor to Amendment Nine a new - somewhat notorious to a few of you - blog focused on Democratic reform. FedFarmer wrote a post a few weeks that a lot of you read and responded to positively (called: "Our Way of Life"). He's posted another gem today, which I think is especially good for readers of MyDD to take a look at it. The post ties together a lot of what we've all been saying, in a way that helps focus our thoughts. I hope you all can take a look and let me know what you think. You can visit it here:

Schenker at Amendment Nine has a good point about the next four years and the GOP's use of "the shield of ignorance." Check it out and let me know how we can break through that!
